The Nocturmander split from its ancestor and has grown much smaller. It no longer hunts by ambushing its prey. Instead, it pursues it until it manages to catch it. this isn't hard though, as tuckworms are very slow. They have become nocturnal to avoid predators. Its eyes have grown larger to help them see in the dark. Its skin has turned dark blue to help it blend in with the night sky. Their hind legs are now digitigrade, allowing them to run somewhat faster than their ancestors. During the day, they sleep in abandoned slythdigger burrows, where they are safe from predators. Like their ancestor, they will migrate from the peninsular scrubland to the East Daturian Peninsula's beaches to lay their eggs. However, they are more vulnerable to predators there, and are known to group together during the day, in which while the group sleeps, a few will stay awake to watch for predators. Their tadpoles grow much more quickly, as it takes less time for them to reach full size.
