Travelling north, the Waddlavisus split from the Probovisus. With no Shellflora to feed on, they had to change their feeding habits once more. With the shallows being filled with a wide array of plants and animals, the Waddlavisus adapted to feed on the bounty of plant and animal matter that has been largely untouched for millions of years. They are typically found awkwardly 'walking' around in the shallows near the beach in North Datura Temperate Coast. They primarily feed on Wavebreakers, but are also capable of crunching through the shells of small aquatic and semi-aquatic 'invertebrates'. However, this is rare, as these 'invertebrates' are well-defended against these awkward ambush predators. Some have shells hard enough to resist- or even completely protect them from the Waddlavisus' bite, while others can just outswim it. The Waddlavisus' main adaptation is the ability to travel onto land- albeit for short periods of time. They achieve this by using their four fins to waddle around awkwardly on the beach. They now possess sac-like organs that are connected to their gills. This allows them to gulp up water and store it for later use on land. They primarily feed on Tideweeds while on land. They don't hunt on land, as they are very slow and incapable of chasing the beach's semi-aquatic 'invertebrates'. Their breeding season is synchronized with that of the Scuttler and the Helmcrawler. They do not attack the two species, but rather lay their eggs near those of the two invertebrate species. The Waddlavisus' eggs hatch around the same time as those of the scuttler and the helmcrawler. Thus, the fry can feast on the newly-hatched and defenseless Scuttler/Helmcrawler nymphs.
