The Tentawalker split from its ancestor and has moved to Gemstar/Skwidbox. Their legs have become slightly shorter and thicker, and are filled with muscle. They now walk on the tips of their tentacles when they're underwater. They feed on anything they can find, which primarily consists of carcasses, as there are no true aquatic plants in Gemstar and Skwidbox. Their photoreceptors have advanced further, becoming simple eyes that allow them to detect shapes and moving objects. While they primarily live in water, they are also known for spending short periods of time on land. They have been known to drag themselves on shore in search of washed-up carcasses and bits of detritus. However, they cannot support their weight on their tentacles and must move by dragging itself with their tentacles. Their eyes are also poorly adapted for use on land. Thus, they rely on touch to navigate. They can only survive on land for so long, as they breathe through their skin, which must be kept moist. If they spend too much time on land they will dry out and suffocate. Because of all of these factors, they almost never travel far from the swash-zone. Because they are a common prey item for aquatic predators, they breed rapidly, in which they travel to the intertidal zone at high tide to lay their eggs in the sand. While they are capable of travelling on land, laying their eggs at high tide would keep them from being encumbered by their inability to walk and see properly. They also don't have to face the threat of suffocating during high tide.
