Creator: CoolKuy
Habitat: Abacaba Ocean (Midnight Floor, Zone, and, uncommonly, Twilight Zone)
Size: 10 cm long
Diet: Scavenger
Reproduction: Sexual, lays eggs in rotting carcasses
During the mass extinction, hundreds of millions of deep sea organisms fell into the midnight zone. As any potential scavenger went extinct, bodies stayed there for a long time, slowly decomposing by water. Many organisms took advantage of this. Microscopic scavengers found it relatively instantly, but the first major animal came down as soon as it could. The Scavisus is descended from Glowvisus that found out that carcasses on the sea floor existed, and followed suit. They have a very acidic stomach that can digest almost all of any microbe that could make it sick, and have rows of sharp teeth for tearing down rotting meat. They still have the glow from it's ancestors, which are even brighter then before. They also have rows of "whiskers" to smell rotting meat, as eyes aren't very useful in the pitch-black darkness of the midnight floor.
