The Glowvisus split from its ancestor and has migrated into deeper waters. Their scales have turned dark blue to blend in with the darker waters. Their eyes have grown larger to make use of the little light that manages to make it to the twilight zone. However, their most noteworthy adaptation is bioluminescence, which is used to identify members of their shoal and communicate. They have been known to swim up to the surface to feed on plankton during the night. They lay their eggs in the twilight zone and let them drift there. This is because there aren't many animals that would potentially eat them at this level. Like their ancestors, they lay large amounts of eggs en masse.
