Habitat: Neakweed Meadow, The eastern coasts of middle datura

Size: 50 cm Tall

Diet: Photosynthesis

Reproduction: Asexual Spores, Fragmentation

The neakweed split from its ancestor and proliferated off the eastern coast of Middle Datura. They are most common in the tropical waters beneath the East Daturan Peninsula, forming a vast meadow. The Neakweed Meadow provides a safe haven for small, benthic organisms, shielded from predators under the dense carpet of neakweeds. Neakweeds are known for their regenerative properties, as they can regenerate lost photosynthetic bulbs in a few days. Their root has become anchor-shaped to prevent it from being ripped out. they also aren't vascular, as they are completely submerged underwater and have no need to support themselves. If a bulb is separated from the plant, it will sink to the bottom. If conditions are right, the bulb will become a new plant. However, the neakweed's primary means of reproduction is through asexual spores, which are produced inside of the plant's hollow bulbs. These spores are released every month. This rapid reproduction allows them to stay one step ahead of herbivores.
