Ancestor: Neakvine

Creator: Bufforpington

Habitat: The temperate and tropical beaches of North, Middle, and South Datura

Size: 45 cm Tall

Diet: Photosynthesis

Reproduction: Asexual, Spores

The neakstalk split from its ancestor and moved further into the beach. They have re-developed their vascular system and now grow upright. Their bulbs have specialized, with the bulbs growing out of the sides of the stem being converted into leaves and the bulbs on top being converted into spore chambers. Upon reaching maturity, these bulbs will release their spores into the air. They are no longer restricted to the swash zone, as they now grow all over the beach. Their roots have grown longer to increase their surface area, allowing them to absorb more nutrients.
