Ancestors and Descendants
|
The Rinohoovus is another descendant of Hoovakletcus. Two of the six oral tentacles have migrated outside the mouth and now sit on a rostrum. These tentacles are packed with chemo- and mechano- receptors allowing them to both smell and feel ahead of themselves as they cruise along just above the bottom.
