With the extinction of the nonobush, there was an empty niche for medium-sized plants in the East Peninsular Scrubland. The Nonotower eventually filled in the niche, shrinking down into the nonoshrub. The nonoshrub is almost identical to its distant ancestor, with the only exceptions being the discs growing from its trunk and its slightly larger size.
