Taxonomy
Ancestors and Descendants
Ancestor: Chasobenthus
Descendants: Crawlpod

Descended from Chasobenthus. They have repurposed the bottom lobe of their caudal 'fin' into a thick footlike appendage. Their walking spikes are stronger and can now fully support their weight though at the expense of being unable to retract them all the way up against the body. They have also developed internalized sacs which hold water and churn it to breath even in stagnant water. Their skin is thickened to allow them to travel on land for short periods until they need to refresh their water sacs. They can still swim if they are in danger, but they are less proficient than their ancestors. They are seven to ten centimeters long.
