Ancestors and Descendants

The Shlowta is descended from the Shlowing. They have lost the membrane between their second and third pairs of legs and now use their first two pairs of legs as a kind of scoop to concentrate the water stream past their mouth. They are filter feeders, using short feathery tentacles around the mouth to pull food out of the water.
