Rejerfiltrus was a very stagnant creature ever since it came into existence. Despite being the oldest of the survivors, it slowly went into obscurity and stayed very neatly into its niche of sessile filter feeder. It didn't have room to diversify, with other animals that could do a potential niche that the Rejerfiltrus could hop onto better. Then, the Prevailnoffian extinction happened. Despite the Datura Temperate Coasts quickly diversifying, there weren't any real ambush predator. The Rejerfiltrus quickly took advantage of this.

The Reaserteethus is a medium-sized generalist predator with a mouth half a meter wide. This lets it swallow literally anything besides adult Nautoreaps. It hides in the sand of the temperate coasts, with its long neck near the top of the sand, but never seeable. It will create microscopic holes with its tentacles so it can breathe through its skin. Speaking of tentacles, they end in extremely sharp needle-like spikes to stab and cut if necessary. These are nowhere near strong enough to break shells, but they will only attack the soft-parts of shelled creatures. They don't purposefully eat the shells, and normally try to cut only the soft parts. If they do eat a shell by accident, it's very acidic stomach will digest it enough so that the Reaserteethus can spit out the pieces without choking. If there aren't enough food to sustain it, it will resort to filter feeding, but this is a rare find.
