The Mountapill split from its ancestor and has moved into the mountains. They primarily live in the valley forests, spending their lives in the canopy of Mountain Grootrees and Prailamounts, but they have been occasionally found outside of the forests, and are most likely migrating between them. They have grown slightly larger and are covered in a thick, shaggy coat of hair to keep themselves warm while they traverse the mountain's cold, alpine slopes. Their lungs have grown larger to cope with the lower concentrations of oxygen. They have also developed a fat-filled hump above their first two pairs of limbs to provide a source of energy when food is scarce. They lay their eggs beneath the gills of mountain grootrees. However, they also have been known to lay their eggs between the leaves of the prailamount.
