Size: 20 cm Long
Diet: Scavenger
Reproduction: Asexual, Sticky eggs laid on corpses
The morbid tuckprey split from its ancestor. As it moved away from the north pole, the deepsea tuckprey had nothing to eat. This led it to change its diet entirely. Unlike their blood-sucking ancestors, the morbid tuckprey eats the flesh of corpses. It eats by sticking to corpses with its sucker. With the teeth dug into the flesh of its host, it then starts to writhe around, attempting to rip a chunk of flesh off. After it removes a chunk of flesh, it will swallow it whole. Their metabolism is slower to help conserve energy while it searches for corpses. It normally swims a few centimeters above the sea floor, using its newly-evolved barbels to feel its way around the sea floor.
