Taxonomy
Ancestors and Descendants
Ancestor: Cocopralm

Habitat: Tropical beaches of South Western North Gemstar and the Western beaches of South Gemstar

The Cocopralm, being basically the only fully terrestrial photosynthesizer in the southwest of North and South Gemstar, has since begun to radiate. The Minipralm is much smaller than the Cocopralm, being only a meter high in comparison. Being smaller, they can get by on less light, and can grow much more densely than the larger Cocopralm. They cannot grow very close to frondo type organisms however, as their barbs can puncture the Minipralm and suck out their sap detrimentally. Their pods will inflate when ripe, and when punctured by the jaws of an herbivore will spray their spores, casting them a short distance farther than they would otherwise. They have also adapted several of their leaves to function like quills to prevent herbivores from eating their sporepods before ripe.
