The macvisus split from its ancestor and has moved back to the coasts. They have become predators of small, nektonic creatures. Their baleen has been modified into small, sharp teeth to aid in catching and killing prey. It has gown even larger to help keep predators from eating it. They have grown longer, allowing them to reach higher speeds. They live in small shoals that patrol the coasts, searching for food. They prefer temperate waters. They lay their eggs en masse along the eastern temperate coasts of North Datura, providing a massive food source for North Datura's coastal ecosystems. However, the sheer number of eggs ensure that not all of them are eaten.
