Ancestors and Descendants
Ancestor: Hooperkletus

A descendant of the hooperkletus, its tentacles have developed a hard, lobster-like carapace with serrated edges and a sharp tip, allowing them to better hold fast prey. The dark coloration of their "beak" allows it to blend in with dead/dying matter on the sea floor.
