Creator: ZoologicalBotanist
Habitat: North Temperate Abacaba Ocean (Sunlight Zone)
Size: 4 Centimeters Long
Diet: Sap (Waveskimmer, Buoyball, Buoyshroom, Torpnest)
Reproduction: Sexual, Gametes released in water during spring
The helm swimmer is no longer dependent on the waveskimmer as a place to live. The webbing between their limbs is larger, and their limbs are longer. This allows them to swim better, sos they can now spend their entire life swimming. They are fast, allowing them to evade potential predators. They still feed on plant sap, but their proboscis is sharper, allowing them to bite through the shell of torpnests. Breeding occurs in the spring, when helmswimmers gather in large amounts to spawn. Larva are small, and commonly eaten by small filter feeders. The shell is hollow, allowing the helmswimmer to control its buoyancy.
