Creator: ZoologicalBotanist
Habitat: Orpington Tropical Rainforest
Size: 1.3 Meters Tall
Diet: Photosynthesis
Reproduction: Asexual, Wind-Dispersed Spores
The tropical climate and plentiful rainfall of the Orpington Tropical Rainforest has allowed the fungree to grow to larger sizes than its ancestor was able to. The top of the fungree has grow much larger, allowing it to soak up the plentiful sunlight of the area, as well as shade out competition growing underneath of it. The spikes underneath of it are no longer used for photosynthesis, instead, they are use for dispersing spores in the wind. Large groves of this plant can make it impossible for anything else to grow, making the wind dispersal of spores essential for the survival of the young. Individual fungree can live for hundreds of years, but are occasionally knocked over by tropical storms. Newly sprouted spores grow extremely rapidly, up to three centimeters a day! Their growth slows once they reach 50 centimeters, however, as they have usually outgrown and shaded out all other competing plant life at that point.
