The deepsea tuckprey split from its ancestors and moved into depths of the Southern Ocean. They have adapted to the crushing pressure that the deep ocean has to offer. Their skin is now black to blend in with the abyssal waters around them. They now feed on the blood of its only resident, the chasoabyssus. Because of the somewhat low number of chasoabyssus and the lack of predators, the greater tuckprey no longer breeds rapidly. There are around 12 million deepsea tuckpreys lurking in the depths of the Southern Ocean.
