Ancestors and Descendants
|
The Crinopounds are the descendants of an offshoot of the Auroracrinis that developed two adaptations to aid them in hunting down prey. The first was the development of their eyes into large compound organs, similar to those of a fly. The second adaptation was the growth and sharpening of its claws. With these, the Crinopound has become a large-scale predator of the oceans and rivers, dwarfing other species with its magnificent size of 5 feet. The main way it hunts is by ambushing prey, latching onto it with its outer claws to that the two inner claws can shred up the flesh of its prey and consume it.
