While their larger cousins fight each other, the lurkers have begun to slowly colonize tidal pools. Such populations are non-toxic, as few predators roam land. However, they are much larger, reaching sizes of 4 millimeters. However, colonization of freshwater is still a long way, they have yet to deal with the non-existent saline levels of freshwater. They have also grown a protective mucus coating, which lets them stand the brief exposure to UV rays much longer.
